Daniel Cunningham graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 2006 with an Associate in Arts degree in Individual Studies. His emphasis was on writing, history and political science. He was a staff reporter/writer for its newspaper in 2006 and had eight articles and three poems published.

He also graduated from Sage College of Albany in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Creative Studies with an emphasis in writing. While attending Sage, he worked in the college's library from 2006 to 2008 as an student assistant and won the Outstanding Student Employee Award for the library in Spring 2007 and in the fall, interned as a journalist for the Fourth Branch of America where he had four articles published. He also interned later as a library specialist for Sage's library in Fall 2007, helping find new books and write the library newsletter . Daniel also had two poems and one short story published in the college's art and literary book - The Vernacular in 2008 and 2009. Also, he was on the Literary Committee of the Vernacular for the 2008-2009 term, helping to edit other students' compositions. He also entered 2 writing contests for Sage in 2008 and 2009. He won the Special Mention Award in the Sage College of Albany Fiction Contest for the longest novel in 2009.

After graduation and many job searches, he volunteered for the Schenectady Museum, cataloging books and digitizing print photos for the Archives Department, and for the American Italian Heritage Association, greeting visitors, counting the money, working in the gift shop and cleaning. He joined Demand Studios as a online freelance writer in September, where he had 6 articles published on eHow.com. He left Demand Studios in March, 2010 and joined Oboulo.com and Suite 101.com as a freelance writer. So far, he had 3 long essays published on Oboulo, and 23 short articles published on Suite 101.

Daniel specializes in writing for such subjects as history, political science, foriegn policy, philosophy, writing/publishing and physical science.
